This pig is an honored survivor
In 2008, the earthquake that struck in Sichuan province near Chengdu killed nearly 70,000 people and injured over 370,000.
In all the trauma and tragedy, one story caught the hearts of the Chinese people. A pig was buried under the rubble for 36 days and yet he survived. Now known as Zhu Jiangqiang, or "Strong Willed Pig," he lives in retirement at the museum cluster and is regular visited by fans who want their photo taken with the famous porker. Recoverd from his ordeal, Zhu tips the scales at over 330 pounds.
