I had heard about Chinese people wanting to take photos of Westerners but experiencing it has been interesting. Mainly young people will come up with camera in hand, a big smile, and ask in practiced English whether they can take a photo with you. Here are some examples. I've joked that I'm not sure if I feel like Brad Pitt or a zoo animal but they seem so happy to get the photo that it would be hard not to say yes. By the way, I had to buy the hat as some protection from the blazing sun.
